Diploma in Civil Engineering is a 3-year long duration course, was established in 1995 along with the inception of the Institute and has been playing a key role in transforming the vision of the institute into reality, evolving as one of the cherished destinations, where the students are offered with learning and skilling with highly equipped laboratories and software trainings.

Academic Program

We offer Diploma in Civil Engineering having sanctioned student strength of 60.  This course is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. Affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education, Odisha and the State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Odisha. The admission is made through e-admission conducted by Department of Skill Dev & Tech Education, Odisha. The conduct of examination including certification is carried out by the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Mission

M1 Producing civil engineers with quality technical skills matching contemporary industry needs to solve the real-life problems of the society.
M2 Providing students with an extensive and advanced education in the field of civil engineering fundamentals regarding mathematics and basic sciences, its applications and design to prepare students for higher learning.
M3 Guiding students to carry out interdisciplinary projects and supporting them for the development of products to meet the social needs.
M4 Creating an ambiance where students can be involved with collaborative work with different industries and in other utility sectors of civil engineering and motivated towards entrepreneurship and social responsibility
M5 Providing advanced skill related to all civil engineering applications to enhance Employability.
M6 To promote the spirit of enquiry, innovation, life skills and to encourage lifelong learning.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

PO1 Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialisation to solve the engineering problems.
PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO3 Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4 Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO5 Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6 Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7 Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
