The department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is one of the leading branches of KIIT Polytechnic, which is emerged as a technical hub for advanced skilling and quality learning since its inception, 1995. It is endowed with experienced faculties and supportive staff members for teaching and mentoring the students. The department provides propitious environment to realise ever changing nature of technology and to adapt it.

The department aims to provide qualitative approach in learning and industry oriented skilling to expand the sphere of knowledge of the students which will enable them to perform efficiently and practice ethically.

Academic Program

The department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering offers regular course on Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. The sanctioned intake for this program is 60 per academic year. This program is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India and affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha and the State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Odisha.

The conduct of examination including certification is carried out by the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE & VT), Odisha.


To be a latest technological hub in skilling and learning where learners can offer collaborative solution to socio-economical needs in electronics and telecommunication issues.

The students with Diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, within six years of education

PEO1 Will be sought after to address real life Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering concerns.
PEO2 Will be a member of impact assessors.
PEO3 Will be a part of multidisciplinary team.


PO1 Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialisation to solve the engineering problems.
PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO3 Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4 Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO5 Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6 Project Management:  Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7 Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.


PSO1 Learn/Strengthen a contemporary industry relevant skill appropriate to engineering domain.
PSO2 Model and analyse, design and realize physical systems, components or processes in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
PSO3 Receive on-field 60 days internship training in appropriate industries related to Electronics & Telecommunication engineering domain.
