About us

The department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 1995 with an objective to develop professionals through skill education with a sanction intake of 60 students under SCTE & VT, Odisha. It offers diploma engineering in Electrical Engineering. The broad-based diploma curriculum exposes students to multiple aspects of Electrical Engineering including Power Electronics, Power Systems, and Electrical Machines, control system and renewable energy. The department has well equipped laboratories of Circuit Theory Lab, Electrical Machine Lab & Power electronics Lab.

We offer Diploma in Electrical Engineering having sanctioned strength of 60.

This course is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Government of Odisha.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

The students with Diploma in Electrical Engineering, within six years of education

PEO1 Students will possess strong electrical engineering knowledge, analysing and solving real-world problems with adaptability.
PEO2 Students will demonstrate interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, and teamwork for successful careers.
PEO3 Students will exhibit professionalism, ethical awareness, and social responsibility, promoting sustainable development and lifelong learning.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

PO1 Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialisation to solve the engineering problems.
PO2 Problem Analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO3 Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4 Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO5 Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6 Project Management:  Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7 Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

PSO1 Learn/Strengthen a contemporary industry relevant skill appropriate to engineering domain.
