Mr. Sukant Kumar Rout assumed the role of Vice Principal at KIIT Polytechnic during 2019. Prior to the assignment he was the In Charge of Examination Section and Admission of KP. He began his academic career at KIIT in the department of Physics. Owing to his exceptionally excellent empathetic way of interacting in and out of class, he is considered to be one of the best teachers of KIIT Group of Institutions. His acumen in adding emotion and enthusiasm goes so deep that the Alumni of last twenty years still keep themselves connected.

He did his graduation with Honours from Utkal University and Post-Graduation and M. Phil from Berhampur University. He joined KIIT as Lecturer in Physics. He is currently pursuing Doctoral Research in Magnetic behaviour and electronic structure of Nanomaterials. He has already published three research papers and delivered talks in two conferences. He is a life member of ISTE and ISCA.

He is a firm believer of systemic approach in institutional administration. He handles the Students Progression and Life Cycle Management System at the KP with utmost accuracy. His depth of knowledge in the academic process, regulations and activities make him the ‘Go To’ person in all academic affairs. He has won Best Staff award at KIIT during 2016.
