On 18 November 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, KIIT Polytechnic, hosted a guest lecture delivered by Dr. Ritu Maity, Head of the Tool Design & AI section at CTTC, Bhubaneswar. The lecture was attended by faculty, staff, and students from the department.

Her presentation traced the journey of AI from basic search tools to its extensive application across diverse fields such as medicine, research, education, and marketing. Through vivid examples and real-world use cases, she demonstrated how generative AI has transformed into a powerful and ubiquitous technology.

The session received enthusiastic response from the students — many of whom expressed that the lecture was extremely enlightening and informative. The lecture was lauded for its clarity and breadth, seamlessly covering foundational concepts and advanced applications of AI.
