Alumni Talk

Mr Shibam Basak, an alumnus of 2021 batch (Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) currently working as DET-Service Engineer, WIPRO GE Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. He presented a seminar  n “Application of Electronics in Health Care Sector” to the final year students on 17th May 2025. His talk was extremely valuable as far as the future job prospective of the students of  electronics background in the health care sector.

Mr Sidheswar Jena, Team Lead @Accenture has given an alumni Talk on “Generative AI & Prompt Engineering” on 12th April 2025. He has elaborated how generative AI works and its application  long with he has also gave some insights on prompt engineering and its types. His talk was very informative and inspirational for the final year students.

Er. Piyush Rai is currently employed at L&T Construction as an Assistant Senior Engineer. He is working on a 210 MW solar photovoltaic plant project. He has discussed with the electrical engineering students about the role of an electrical engineer and career opportunities in industry and Commissioning of Industrial Electrical Systems during the alumni talk held on 1st May 2024.

Mr Shankar Hota, an alumnus of 2013 batch (Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) currently working as Service Support Engineer in KIIT University. He presented a seminar on “CCTV and Surveillance System” to the final year students on 30th April 2024.

Mr. Prabhat Prasad, an alumnus of 2019 batch (Mechanical Engineering) currently working as Engineer, Customer Relationship Departmental, DAIKIN Air Conditioning India Pvt. Ltd. He presented the topic on “Air Conditioning: A Sustainable Shield Against Rising Global Heat” to motivate the final year students on 18th April 2024.

Mr. Rudra Narayan Pradhan, an alumnus of Department of Electrical Engineering who is currently working as Assistant Professor at Odisha University of Technology and Research has given a talk on Micro grid Protection Issues and Challenges to the final year students on 12th April 2024. His talk brought some industrial awareness among the students.

An alumni talk was organized at civil engineering department on 23rd August 2023. An alumnus from (2020-23) batch, Mr. Anup Kumar discussed about his experience for getting a placement in L&T construction as CAD-Engineer. He shared knowledge about the topic “Placement preparedness and CADD in industry”. The program emphasized the importance of alumni connections in professional and personal life.

Mr. Sourav Pani, an alumnus of 2019 batch (Mechanical Engineering) currently working as a Lead Engineer, Tata Power Ltd., Jamshedpur. He presented the topic “An Engineer Creates a Better Future for The World” to motivate the final year students on 15th September 2022.

Mr. Soumyajit Bai, an alumni of batch 2006-2009(Comp.sc. Engg) presently working as lead software consultant in Virtusa technology, Bangalore delivered the talk on (latest trend in software testing) to the junior students, The talk was appreciated by the students and he also shared his corporate experience with the junior students.

Mrs. Jyoti Priyadarshini , an alumnus of 2013 batch (Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering) currently working as a Junior Engineer, Tata Steels Ltd, Kalinga Nagar. She presented the topic “Role of Electronics in Industry” to the final year students as an industry expert on 15th September 2022.
